The portable meeting amplifier shall function as a fully self-contained PA system with wired or
wireless microphone options. The unit shall be simple to setup and operate. Wireless transmitter
options shall include handheld, lapel or headset. The unit shall accept up to two wireless UHF
diversity, 16 channel frequency-agile receiver modules.

The enclosure shall include a retractable handle with 7.87” (20 cm) full range speaker and piezo
tweeter coupled to a CD horn. Frequency response shall be 70 - 10k Hz (+/- 3 dB). Distortion
shall be less than 10% (rated output) and S/N ratio shall be better than 70 dB (rated output).
Features shall include a wired microphone input (-48 dBV, 600 ohms, unbalanced, 1/4”phone
jack), auxiliary input (-20 dBV,10k ohms, unbalanced, RCA pin jack x 2), line output for external
PA system connection (-10 dBV,1k ohms, 1/4”phone jack) and external speaker output (8 to 16
ohm, minimum 20 W). An optional version with auto-reverse cassette player/recorder (WA-
1822C) shall be available.

The unit power source shall be both 120 VAC 50/60 Hz or batteries (8 "D" Cells). Power
consumption shall be AC: 46 W (rated output). Rated output shall be AC: 20 W (Max.40 W with
EXT SP.) or DC: 8 W. Battery life shall be a minimum of six hours. Operation temperature shall
be AC: 14º F to 122º F (-10º C to +50º C) or DC: 32º F to 104º F (0º C to +40º C). The finish shall
be ABS resin with light gray color. Dimensions (W x H x D) shall be 11.92" x 18.4" x 8" (298 x 460
x 200 mm) and weight shall be WA-1822: 13.3 lbs. (6 kg); WA-1822C: 14.8 lbs.(6.7 kg).

The modular wireless meeting amplifier shall be TOA model WA-1822.
The modular wireless meeting amplifier w/cassette shall be TOA model WA-1822C.
